LECTURES

TASKS

WEEK 1 — EXERCISE 1
For our first task, we were instructed to work on a google docs that required us to fill out our e-portfolio link, Pinterest board link and 3 of our favourite Motion Graphic works and explain why we liked them.

WEEK 2— EXERCISE 2
For our second task, we are instructed to create 3 different compositions using the design elements provided using photoshop on a 1920 x 1080 size canvas then animate one of the best compositions with a duration of 15 seconds.

On photoshop, I played a lot with the blending modes and overlapped the images on one another and used masking as well.

I decided to go with the second composition for the animation and animated the train moving out of the tv screen with the plants popping out of the typewriter.

I added sound effects as well after editing the images on after effects and added a paper effect to complement the idea of the composition being a collage.

WEEK 5— EXERCISE 3

For this weeks practical we were instructed to explore advance layers, keyframing and basic animation based on the lecture.

Before animating, we had to create a composition with the given elements.

For the texture and building at the bottom, I tried to play around with masking keyframes to make it appear.

Some other elements including the fishes, camera, typewriter and plants mainly used basic keyframes such as opacity, scale and position.

I added lines moving along the curves and building as well to add more dynamism.
