❥TASK
WEEK 4
After dividing the tasks between the group, me, Ben and Agnes
were tasked to work on the mascot, logo, colour palette, font,
packaging designs and overall moodboard. We stuck to their cloud
idea from week 1 meeting and proceeded onto the designs based off
that.
Three of us had our own meeting to discuss and sketch out ideas
and do a bit of research as well and compiled everything on a
whiteboard.

After presenting this to Ms Lilian, we decided to host
another meeting with our client to get some approval and
suggestions as well from them. Most of them had many concerns
about the packaging as well as the mascot as they did not want
to promote their brand with a "sick cloud" since that was what
our mascot look like as it gives a negative impression towards
their brand. They also had concerns about the placement of the
barcode and the QR code.
After feedback from client & Ms Lillian:
Therefore, we have to come up with more sketches for the
packaging designs and make amendments to the logo as
well.

Based on the concerns the clients had with the packaging, me,
Ben and Agnes made a list of what to do and made a task division
based off their suggestions and decided to implement both our
decisions on the design and also their suggestions as well
considered their concerns.

ingredients, QR and barcode placement (done by agnes)
These below are the new sketches for the logo after the
clients expressed their concerns on a sick cloud as their
mascot or logo as it could give a negative impression towards
their brand, so they suggested making it a happy cloud.

Once we were done with all our refined sketches and adjustments, we compiled it all into slides for Task 2.

Week 4 - Ensure that you have a rationale for each decision you make, whether that it be a design related decision or adding a colour or an element in your design
Week 5 - Treat the presentation as if we are presenting it directly to our clients- Make sure to show how you got to a point, meaning that it is crucial to show the ideation process and initial drafts and elaborate on them.

❥REFLECTION
So far, despite finally having the chance to work on brand identity, packaging design and all sorts of Graphic Design aspects which is what I always wanted to do, I realized how much of a tedious process it is to try and compromise a solution between the clients and our ideas, because there were times where it often clashes, especially since our clients aren't aware of several design rules and their demands go against said rules, thus we had to compromise and kept coming with different and alternate solutions which really made me think critically but I did enjoy the overall process of it.
